Travel Diary : Paris, France

Next stop, France!

Paris, France.

This was my first time in the city and I can’t wait to get back! I could actually see myself living here, I loved it that much. I’m not quite sure what it is about the city, but it has me completely enamoured! The Parisian architecture is unmatched with so many beautiful, intricate, little details. I loved every bit of it!
We stayed in a cute boutique hotel with many restaurant options basically on our door step. The. Food. In. Paris. Is. DELICIOUS! Every bite of saucy, well seasoned, fattening, goodness, lol- so GOOD! Let’s not forget the bread. So much breadddd! Now, if you’re like me and are in need of a carb divorce, Paris is not for you! It’s a pasta and bread haven! Much like Italy. Maybe that’s all of Europe? The desserts were equally as scrumptious! (Macarons? Yum.)  Needless to say a personal trainer is much needed after this food fest!

The Eiffel Tower was minutes away from our hotel on foot and we managed to unintentionally visit it everyday. I mean, when in Paris, right? We decided on our last day to make the journey to the top.

As mentioned on the last day we finally made it to the top! I can’t lie, I started to feel a little sick going up, but I thugged it out. Do you know how high up that is!? The view from the top is incomparable so it was worth those brief moments of discomfort. We went midway then realized there was an additional fee to get to the top, lol, smart buggers!

These next two pictures are of the lights on the tower. They make it look so beautiful at night; I meant to ask in total how many lights are on the tower. Next time!IMG_0377IMG_0376IMG_0350IMG_0362IMG_0363IMG_0364IMG_0365IMG_0366IMG_0361IMG_0359IMG_0357

So beautiful! It’s a must do when in Paris, even if you have a slight height phobia. Once you get to the top the view is the best remedy. They have champagne at the top and multiple “places to kiss” posters. Super cute! These little gestures make best photo props.

We did the usual touristy things and managed to take a beautiful city tour on our last night. See post here.

I wish we were in the city longer because apart from it’s charming character, there’s just so much to do! God willing I’ll definitely be returning soon!
