So I get asked often how I arrive at a certain ensemble usually in the question “How did you think to put that with that?”
I simply answer “It just happened,” lol. Truthfully, that’s really how it goes. I believe in dress up! Adding and subtracting to see what works and what doesn’t.
2016 so far has proven to be the Year of the Baby!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve personally lost count of how many people I know, or know of that are with child!
Before I go any further I would like to first say, that I think children are a beautiful blessing and can bring about purpose as well as countless joy. I don’t believe that they are punishment of any sort but a GIFT from our Most High God.
…That’s my birthday! I’m now a whole 26 years old 😐 *covers eyes*
Each year I grow more grateful for the life that I’ve been blessed with and I’m learning to be thankful for all the high and low points of the journey. There really is a blessing in every lesson!
In one of my previous posts I mentioned that I have some new projects that I’m involved with and I want to mention one of those today.
As of the 1st of February I am now the Style Editorial Manager for Pinksand Bermuda! I oversee all the clothing and accessory posts to the style section of the website. This new role has proven to be an exciting one thus far and I encourage you to follow the posts and the evolution of them. My team is a small one but it’s still growing. They produce some great content that I’m thrilled to oversee and direct.
On Friday, March 11th, I was invited back to York University by the CSSA to attend their Networking Gala.
It’s still pretty surreal to me that others would seek my advice on their journeys to success but I’m humbled nonetheless.
I’m beginning to think I have this thing with stripes….
Last week I rushed home to be with family in a trying time…
Truthfully, any reason to go home is a good reason to go home…
Warm air, sea breeze.. the dreadful humidity.. EVERYTHING! I missed it!
Life has a timely way of reminding us what’s important and what’s not.
I do believe all things happen for a reason but sometimes tracing that reason proves to be a hard feat.
Not to be cynical or morbid but we never know when it’ll be our time to leave this earth and I think our heart’s mandate should be to die empty. As Myles Munroe has put it so succinctly we must leave this life having achieved all that we were created to do.
